My Sony IDE Spressa Burner is detected as SCSCI in win2000. I am having problems getting it to record. I got the new patch so Sony Extreme recording software will detect the burner, but now when I hit the record button I get an error after a few seconds "error -8 at sector 16" . I have no idea what the hell is going on. I would have to assume that something has to be wrong with why its being detected as SCSI. My BCD CD drive is also detected as SCSI. Did I install the 4n1 drivers wrong or something?
You'll probably notice that your hard drive is also listed as a SCSI device. This is a normal part of both VIA and Intel UDMA drivers and assures that transfer speeds are determined by the driver instead of Windows.
