Saw someone use a PDA with a Windows logo to make phone
calls. Wonder what model it is. It's good that it combines
a PDA and a cell phone. one less item to carry is
definitely good. Does anyone know a model does this?

If it can do mp3, voice recording, camera, and GPS too.
That would be ultimate.

There are several, and not just from MS either. See
http://pdaphonehome.com/ for info on most, if not all, PDAphones. Note
that only some of them will work with Verizon Wireless. In theory, any
CDMA phone will work. In practice, VZW has a limited selection, which
may vary by location so find out first what is available in your area,
and then compare them.

I use the Kyocera 7135 PalmOS smartphone. I probably would have gotten
the Treo 600 if it were available at the time.
