[citation][nom]darkerson[/nom]Kinda nifty. But this whole 3D thing is really starting to get annoying.[/citation]

Agreed. I will care about 3D when I don't need any glasses for it

For instance, base jumpers. You know, the guys who jump off of MOUNTAINS and fly right next to them for MILES before pulling their shoots. Now THAT'S 3D!

Anyway, I think they are going about creating 3D viewing completely wrong. It should first be standardized in a medical and military environment. Then brought to the general public. At least make it feel like your using something bleeding edge. It just seems like they are trying "this" and "that"...

Touche, man. Touche. I personally think it's a stylistic fad that will pass eventually. I don't even think that autostereoscopic 3D TVs will make it big.

Just how "near" to Full HD is it? If it's 720p or 1080i, why not just say that? Or are they using some resolution somewhere between 720p and 1080p, or referring to an even higher resolution as actual Full HD to begin with?

Full HD to me means 2560x1600. I'm running a 1080p display here but that isn't full HD. I guess the fullest would be 1600p for the average consumer but c'mon. At least give us some more advanced specs than that.
Tom's just seems to be getting more idiot friendly these days. Too many stupid Apple ads and all this other 'porn' crap everywhere.

So much 3D hate. I personally love this 3D tech although im not financially able to be an early adopter I would love to have a 3D capable laptop/TV/PS3/DS/pr0njector. Bring it on I say.

I don't care about the 3D part about this laptop, but a high resolution 15.6" screen sounds nice.

Maybe now manufactures will upgrade from those horrible 1366x768 panels we see today...
