Is there a newer top down shooter like Tyrian

Tyrian was such a great game. I really wish there was a similar game to this but newer with good GFX. Does anyone know of any? The only new thing i have seen similar is the minigame in Starcraft.... Im not fussed if it is either on PC or PS3.

I found Raptor Call Of Shadows 2010 Edition, but the only thing 2010 about it is that it works in Win7...... its still the same old Raptor, dont know if anyone remembers that one?
