My board is a Gigabyte GA-71XE4, with the AMD 750 chipset. It runs a 1Ghz Athlon, 256Mb of Ram, an ATI All-in Wonder Pro AGP card, and a Creative CD drive, plus a Mitsumi writer.
When I shut down, it used to go
'beep boop beep' (please don't laugh)
This week, I formatted my (Western Digital Caviar 28Gb) hard drive, and re-installed windows. I was very careful to install all of the software from the motherboard CD before any programs etc.
Now, when I shut down, it goes:
'beep boop beep boop beep boop beep' before powering off.
WHY??
Please tell me, it sounds like a police car.
