I7 920 oc 3.2ghz
coolit eco 240mm water cooler
corsair dominator gt 6gb 1600mhz default(i think)
nvidia gtx 470
asus rampage ii extreme
xfx black edition 750w
coolermaster haf 932

It cost me 1400 euro.I can play the witcher 2 on very high settings with good frame rate (40fps) and crysis 2 at highest settings.I want to know if i can play battlefield 3 on high settings, when i run the can you run it app it said that i must upgrade my graphics card to nvidia 560.
I want to know your opinion.

the beta is glitchy as hell, doesn't support true ultra settings, and for some runs like ***. I don't recommend letting that be the judge. Your setup is just fine. The 470 is roughly between the 560ti and 570, so you should be ok

Thanks for the advice i would upgrade to gtx 570 but i decided to wait for the kepler release. Also i have a connection issue posting my score online when i play the witcher 2 v2 arena mode.

the 470 will last you until the new series from nvidia comes out
witcher's new patch hasnt been out long enough for me to play around with it, you should google your issue, there are always people fixing these issues first day ; the community is always great about getting real fixes out fast

im sorry, my cat ran across the keyboard and did that! my real setup is a sli 470x3 with a Q8437508943795079045 @ 238074230740723890 x 9230478930849230 rez and i do just fine!
edit: damn cat is at it again!
PS: lighten up buddy!

to the OP, you'll get good FPS out of your rig, I have a similar rig probably at higher res than you, and therefore I can be confident in that, and i'm not just spouting what other people have told me, flintironsack didn't seem to get the point.

With regards to the 470 lasting till next gen, i'm betting on the gen beyond that personally, given development cycles etc.

i fixed it for you ^^^

as long as you cracked a smile.
back on track, i agree with monkey. the 470 will last you a long time. if you WANT you can buy the new series when it comes out, but im sure it wont be all that necessary
