My friend is looking to get a p4 system, a 2ghz. I tried to convince him to go AMD, i prefer amd over intel, but anyways he was looking for a board that supports the 2ghz p4 along with ddr ram. Are there any boards out there that support this?! He searched the name brand boards, like abit and asus and only found SDRAM boards for the p4's, how are these boards compared to the previous Rambus boards?

The sdram boards are about 20% slower than the rambus boards. DDram boards are almost as fast as rambus, but alot cheaper. Two boards are currently out with the p4x266 via chipset for ddram. The shuttle av40 and azza p4x2 are available for about $125 and $110. Check their websites.
