Hello,
I have this problem - I have mainboard Transcend TS-ABX02 (iBX) with slot1 and cpu Celeron 366 (PPGA to Slot1 reduction).
Now I want to buy some faster cpu - Celeron 600 or 700. But I don't know, if those new Coppermine cpus will be work with my iBX board. So i'll buy reduction fcpga-Slot1 and i'll upgrade bios.
But on the Transcend website, there are 2 versions of bios - for boards with 8 clockgen (there is only written, that board will be support PIII up to 700Mhz) and for boards with 16 clockgen (there is written, that it support also Coppermine processors).
- how can i recognize, which clockgen is on my board?
- is true, that 8 clockgen doesn't support Coppermine Celerons?
- if i have 8 clockgen, can i use bios for 16 clockgen?
Sorry for my english,
thanks for replies.
