USB causing freeze ups!

Everytime i install my USB game play devices i get freeze ups when it tries to load the drivers on start up. It's stopping dead nothing will work! I've heard of problems like this on the Via KT266 DDR but haven't figured anything out can you help?

I hope you don't get tired of saying it! Also what drivers are loaded, would help.........like does any one load the mobo drivers anymore? No Win 98 & XP, DO NOT HAVE ALL THE BEST DRIVERS FOR EVERY SYSTEM!
