New Asus A7S-VM floppy & HD troubles

Has anyone had these problems?

The floppy drive gets accessed but it will not read the system boot disks correctly. So I cannot install from floppy. I even switched cable and drives (SONY)with same results.

2. WD 40GB 7200, hard disk gets error after 100% formatted happens, still in formatting process.

It should work after I get past these 2 barriers.

don`t know about the floppy problem but I have had a few problems formatting drives in dos on a via chipset with udma mode switched on in bios, try turning this off whilst you format, and can you get it to boot from a cd...

No way I`m not gonna sign anything without reading it first....

Try upgrading to the latest BIOS.
