Hi everybody,
I am going to buy a new computer. Basicaly, the configuration I have in mind is:

AMD 1433/266
512 MB DDR-SDRAM
KYRO-II 64MB
SoundBlaster 128

Which of these two mobos (Abit KG7 or Soltek SL-75DRV)
do you think is more appropiate? Could any one have any problem/incompatibility whith the sound or graphics cards I have chosen?

Thanks in advance

Both of these boards look really good. The only thing I don't like about the Soltek is the integrated audio. However, an AC'97 codec will probably perform just as good as a SB 128, so maybe you could get the Soltek and not get the sound card. Unless you already have the sound card that is....

It was just a mistake. It is just an Athlon 1.4 GHertz

Just another question: Is there any diference between the ABIT KG7 and KG7 LITE apart from the number of sockets DDR memory? And the KG7 RAID, is faster than the KG7 LITE? I ask this because Thomas comparison uses a KG7 RAID and may be the ABIT KG7 is slower

Good Luck

There's no difference in performance between KG7 and KG7-RAID.
I'm almost sure that there's no difference for the KG7-lite too. And even if there's is a difference for this last mb, you can be sure that it would be very small.

I have read in ABIT`s web that apart from the number of memory slots there is another difference:

KG7-LITE:
Functions
Two channels of Bus Master IDE Ports supporting up to 4 Ultra DMA 33/66/100

KG7:
Functions
Four channels of Bus Master IDE Ports supporting up to 4 Ultra DMA 33/66/100.

Does the number of channels make the performance of the mobo change? What is the difference beetween having 2 or 4 channels?

Thanks again for any answer given. Good luck
