I have some Task Scheduler jobs I created using a domain admins account to
run. Since it is
fairly tedious to create a job on each computer, I thought I would try
copying the task (.job files) from one computer to another. This works fine
on my XP Home
computer environment, however the XP Pro computers in another office I'm
working in
give me a message saying they "cannot read from the source file" or
something to that effect. Is this some weird security thing? I am the domain
admin, but am taking over from someone who is now gone, so I'm wondering if
this might be a
security policy glitch or an artifiact of Microsofts increased security
consciousness. How can I fix it so
I can do this (copy tasks between computers). PDC is Win2003 Std Edtion, all
WS are XP Pro, SP2.
I found an article on a Google search that tells how to do this...not rocket
science, but the method they endorse doesn't work.
