MB's and power supplies

Is it possible to have a ps that's too high for a mb? MB works fine on the 200w, the 250w, but it won't post on the 400, just sits there with the cpu fan happily whirring...

Or perhaps this 400 just sucks. Teach me to go generic heh.

No it is not possible to get a too big PS. Your system will only use what it needs, regardlees of how much your PS can put out. It is possible to get a bad PS or mess up on your connections. Are any of the PS's "AT" form factor? Or are they all "ATX"? Good luck

Get a quality power supply that is well vented. The cheaper ones have fewer vents around the cover and run hotter, causing your cpu temps to run 3-6 degrees higher.
