Internet windows close spontaneously

Internet windows close spontaneously at times but also when I click on a link within the window. I have noticed the behavior most when I am on a secure site. There is no warning or error message. This is a newer lenovo T61 computer. The behavior is the same for both IE6 and 7.

Upgrade ot IE8.... see if that cures it. But to be fair it could be a Flash Player problem or a Java problem.
