I just ordered a new computer yesterday, seeing as the one I have now is pretty outdated. I was just wondering what your guy's opinions are on the specs and how good I'll be able to run some games like Crysis 2, Metro 2033, BF3, Shogun 2, etc. And at what FPS.

CPU: Intel I5 2500k Sandy Bridge OCed to 4.0ghz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 560 TI
RAM: 16gb DDR3 G Skill Ripjaws
PSU: 750watt Corsair unit
OS: Windows 7 64bit

specs are fine

if you got a decent aftermarket heatsink rather than the stock intel one then 4ghz is a low overclock you should be able to do 4.4ghz to 4.6ghz or so

and your gtx560ti is also a great overclocker

fps would depend on the resolution what in game settings etc--but you should be able to play all those games pretty well

Good setup! Only thing I can think of is that instead of the 16 gb RAM, consider 8 GB and with the money saved and perhaps a bit put in, consider bumping up to a GTX 570 instead of the 560Ti.

I'm not saying the existing setup is bad, bud do you really 'need' 16GB of DDR3 RAM? Doesn't 8GB work good enough? :)

if you didnt need the hyperthreading you could have saved about £70 and got the 2500k and put it

towards a gtx570

if you got a good heatsink that should overclock higher--usually 4.4ghz to 4.6ghz
