Problem with ASUS CUV4X-D

My ASUS CUV4X-D MB will beep short tones (deeper in tone than missing SDRAMM). All temperatures on CPU, MB OK, all voltages OK. Using two case fans. ASUS is no help. Have installed two PIII 1GHZ, 4x512M PC 133. Beeps are intermittent. BIOS goes through POST and checks memory OK. Beeping sometimes starts while in BIOS setup. Have tried swapping memory and CPU's, no luck. Letting BIOS set seep, no o'rclockg. HELP, please Any ideas??? PS, already swapped to new MB and memory, same problem.

How many beeping tones?

ASUS has "neat" beeping codes. I hope you aren't overclocking. If its 3 short beeping tones, it could be your video card. I am looking at getting into this board as well. Your sharing of your experince with it would be appreciated.

I would stay as far away as I could from the ASUS Dual P3 MB. I went through three boards, a lot of ASUS help and they never worked. Instead I got an ABIT VP6, plugged all the SAME components, fired up the first time and has worked flawlessly ever since.
