BIOS password

I have a problem.
My M/board is a Gigabyte GA-71XE4 running a 1GHz Athlon. The problem is that I need to disable a bios setting (fan fail warning)but the bloke who built the thing has put a password to get into setup He has since moved away, and I cannot contact him. Is there any way to crack or disable this password please??

If it is an award bios type AWARD_SW
this will bypass bios password

I aint signing nothing!!!

There is probably a password reset jumper on your motherboard as well. Consult your manual for details.
