i am trying to set up a raid array on my abit kg7 raid. after i set my array up, i can not get fdisk to recognize the array. i have tried freedos fdisk as well and no luck.
here is my setup:
ibm 60gb in ide 1 (master)
seagate 20gb in ide 3 (master)
seagate 20gb in ide 4 (master)
here is how i set up my array:
first i go in to my bios and set First Boot: floppy, Second Boot: raid, and Third Boot: cd-rom.(i also tried setting them all as raid as the manual suggests.. same results)
next i hit ctrl-h so i can create the array. i select create raid. i select stripping(raid 0) for my array mode. i select both seagate drives. i leave the striping size at 64k, and then i select start creation. and finally i select my boot disk and exit the bios utility.
after that i boot up with a winme boot disk. once i run fdisk, the only thing recognized is my ide ibm 60gig. for kicks i tried to run it without the ibm and of course it said there are no hard disks.
does anybody know what i am doing wrong?
