Looking for an old mining game

Hey guys,

I'm looking for an old mining game where you had to run different tests, like density test, and scratch tests to see what kind of mineral or gem it is. You find diamonds,gold,Emeralds, and dragons blood. It was in the late 80's, around the time of Carmen Sandiego and Oregon Trail. Anyone know?

The only "old miner" game I can think of is Dig Dug.

Dig Dug wasn't exploratory. You pumped up enemies until they exploded. haha.

It is kind of like Miner VGA but you don't see yourself and there is no saloon or prostitute. It was a game at school, so it was more educational, no sexual things! You dug with a pick and if you found something, it would tell you and you would have to run tests to see what it was. At the end of the day, you would go back to the shed and find out how much money you made. I think dragons blood was the most expensive gem you could find, along with gold, diamonds, emeralds and ruby's.
