Hi.
I have a TH7-RAID with a 1.7 P4 processor and a Western Digital Caviar 40GB EIDE Hard Drive (WD400BB) set on IDE 1 and as single, running Windows 2000. My system has been running close to flawlessly EXCEPT for one problem - the hard disk isn't always detected with the initial boot up. Generally, after the computer has been turned-off for the night, the next morning on bootup, the HD is not detected on the first try. After a quick Ctrl-Alt-Del (or 2), the HD is then detected. The HD is usually detected on the first try if the computer has been off for only a few hours. The CMOS is set to auto-detect the HD and I've tried setting the IDE detection delay for up to 15 seconds. I've tried auto-detecting the HD in CMOS, and it usually finds it (not always, however). I can't figure out what exactly is the problem. No POST errors or any other indicators except the lack of any detection. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
