Dead rising 2 off the record very low FPS?

i have got an acer 5750g, which is a decent gaming laptop in my opinion. I just installed dead rising 2 off the record and im getting about 3-5 FPS, even in the main menu! what that all about? doesn't my laptop have enough specs to run this game?
i just tried it out on my computer which has older components than my laptop and it ran great. so thats kind of weird.
Any ideas whats going on?
