I'm using a Pioneer DVR-108 fm1.14 DVD Burner on WinXP SP2. I cannot burn
faster than 4X without getting an I/O Error near the 97% completion mark. My
burner is capable of 16X and the media is rated 8X, so this is NOT normal.
Furthermore, I was getting burn rates of up to 12X before SP2. I reinstalled
SP1a and now I am getting burn rates of 12X again with no problems.

What is it in SP2 that is causing the I/O Errors while burning DVD's??? Is
it a service that can be disabled?? Why does Microsoft create 20 problems
everytime they fix 1?
