shouldnt i be getting more? if not this game is poorly optimized. if i can spend $800 in video cards and not max out a game at 60fps i shoulda stuck with consoles. cpu is 2500k stock, 8gb ram, at 1900x1080. 1000w psu asrock p67 xtreme 4 mobo w.7 64 bit. all in all im disapointed. i should be getting 60fps, right?

What settings are you using?

One 580gtx gets you an average of 38fps when running everything on max (MSAA, FXAA, AA) at 1920x1200. So you should probably be getting 45 fps stable with 2 570's on those settings.

Maybe you're card are being underclocked due to temperature or something?

At 1920x1080 you should gettin 40fps with almost 1 570. Other than what gothems and waxy said, I think that either your nvidia gpu configuration is set to 2nd gpu not for sli but for physx, or at the moment drivers/game is not well optimized for 570sli. There is a day one patch coming I think.

I know this is for the beta and its for "High" settings not "Ultra" but it will give you a general idea of what to expect.

This is a good point, make sure that SLI is enabled.

That is the problem ....for whatever reason whenever you install new Nvidia drivers it turns off SLI. I noticed this when I updated to the beta drivers. Also a new driver came out today for BF3, Arkham City and another game which further increases performance.

These are beta graphs ...... DX11 was NOT enabled in beta and EA/DICE said specs would get much steeper for launch. They also said at 2560x1900 to get playable frame rates you would need at LEAST 580's in SLI.

Like everyone else said, "Wait for drivers to catch-up." If you are new to SLI, you should always expect there to be a longer wait-period for any well optimized driver updates. That being said, I have not used NVidia recently. If the control panel has an option like Catalyst for auto-frequency tuning DO NOT use it. Your best bet is to read some reviews specific to your cards in that specific configuration and manually tune them or just leave them on default.

Also, I know this sounds basic but there are other factors that can affect your performance even on a fast system (trust me - mine is even higher spec not including the video card and even I needed some streamlining).

What is your technical level? If everything below looks like gibberish just try to give us a full idea of exactly what hardware/software you are running.

I would need a more detailed rundown of your system configuration ie. background services and programs. Have you set up XMP profiles for your memory? Do you overclock? Have you made changes to the OS processes or are you using a default installation? I am sure you have enough RAM to carry like 10 browsers with 10 tabs each while running two games simultaneously but you need to think about processor load since multi-threading and process delegation handling are still in a developmental stage (meaning certain cores will be completely bogged while others are collecting dust). So try to either run with the bare minimum hopefully after optimizing Windows (preferred) or manually delegate affinities (while running BF3) on your everyday processes in task manager to the least used processor cores - just use the performance monitor to get an idea - you won't need anything fancier.

SMH - Xbox runs this game at 720P@30FPS. You can still get Xbox arcade feel on PC with controller and at your resolution to put it into perspective you get 2.25x the detail not to mention the other effects.

2 x SLI 570 only use the amount of memory a single card uses. Only the very latest AMD cards, such as the 7970, add on extra Vram so 2 x 3gig VRam cards = 6gig. Nvidia dont do this quite yet unless im mistake with the 680's?

Sorry if this isnt related to the original question.

should be getting about 80-90fps and at worst 60 on occasional drops but "rarely". Somethings wrong. I know its a basic questin but is SLI enabled in Nvidia Conrol Panel?
