I have an ABIT BE6-II motherboard and I would like to upgrade the processor Celeron 500MHz on Pentium III 1 GHz/100MHz FSB. It's that realy?

You sould not have any problems installing a p3 1000mhz with a fsb of 100mhz but you will need to update your bios. .bin files and info on how to do that can be found on abit`s website www.abit-usa.com (I think)

You could even get a 133fsb if you have pc133 RAM and dont mind a little overclocking.

I had a p3 550E @ 733mhz & FSB 133mhz on that board without any problems before getting my new system

I would HIGHLY recommend you choose the 1000EB (133FSB) because it's CHEAPER and performs BETTER. With your motherboard you can use a 133MHz FSB with a 33MHz PCI bus, the only thing that gets overclocked is the video card (AGP at 89MHz instead of 66MHz) and most modern video cards can deal with that.
