HELP! Is my k7s5a alright!?

i jus finished installing my mobo and processor and ran windows me perfectly(for two days). everything went well but then my fan stopped and my pc turned off and my cpu jus stopped working! i try to turn on the system but it wont even turn on! all i hear is the power supply. is my mobo damaged!? or is it just the processor? how do i check if one is damaged?! thanx for the help guys. oh man!

was the fan plugged into the motherboard?
and did the fan stop before the computer shut off, or was it at the same time...
if the fan failed...and if the cpu protection on the k7s5a isnt that great, then i am sorry to say that you might be looking into a new processor soon...
and i would suggest a new fan too...sounds like the one you had was defective or something..
or maybe the board's connector wasnt putting juice to the fan...
i would troubleshoot the components...
try the processor in a friends mobo, try the fan on a mobo...
try a different fan on the mobo...
remember that it only takes about 5 seconds for an athlon to be completely destroyed when there is no cooling at all...
and if the motherboard looks burnt at all, then i would say that it is probably ruined...
but if it isnt, then i think that it should be ok...
but to be safe, this time run the cpu fan off the power supply...
