NVIDIA GTS 250 vs 8800 GT?

I currently have a GTS 250 and the minimum requirements for a game I have call for the 8800 GT. Is that a big difference? Should I upgrade? Been trying to play this game and it keeps freezing, could it be I need to upgrade my video card?

The 8800GT is a less powerful card than the GTS250, I'm assuming you were not thinking of trying to get one.

No, Just wondering if my graphics card was my problem. I don't think it is.
