Hi everyone,

I have a sluttering issue when I play BF3 in multiplayer. The games starts and I get about 40-60 FPS, runs very smooth on machine...then about 15-45 seconds later (once the action really starts) my computer goes for 40-60 FPS pers seconds still but literally jams (for 1-3 seconds at a time)...then goes back to 40-60 FPS then jams on and on... This doesn't happen in Single Player.

Am i the only one or is this a known issue? My guess is that my VC is fine but my CPU might be the bottleneck...that said, I've got a Quad (6600 Intel). I remember way back when I ran BF2 with 1 gig it did something similar; upgrading to 2 gigs fixed it...though now I have 4 gigs (on a 64-bit OS) for BF3. Could it be my internet connection, or my onboard network card that creates this sluttering? I use to get this (until Treyarch patched it in Black Ops but in a much less dramatic way).

My system specs are listed below (in my signature).

N1: I've uninstalled all my Nvidia drivers (including 3D Vision, PhysX, etc.) and have reinstalled the latest Beta Drivers (285.62 WHQL).
N2: All my other games run very smoothly
N3: Not a temperature issue (I've got sensors for almost every component up to the motherboard and all is kept very cool).
N4: I disabled 3d Vision and Multi monitors...so not the issue.
N5: I pre-installed BF3 (I don't think it would matter but...)

Updates:
Whether I set my settings at Medium or Ultra, the game slutters the same way...which leads me to think it isn't a VC issue. When it isn't sluttering, I can run Ultra settings at 1080p Low:30 High 60 FPS. AVG: 45 FPS. (FRAPS).

Any suggestions would be appreciated; maybe something I overlooked?

Thanks,

Alex

Edited: Can't find the option to put this thread as solved...
