It's only going to be playable at the lowest possible settings. You didn't say what your CPU is. GTA4 is a very CPU heavy game, it is one of the very few games where your CPU is possibly more important than your graphics card in determining performance. Most dual core CPUs perform horribly in that game. If you only have 1GB of RAM on your system, that probably won't be enough. I've seen GTA4 use up to 2GB of RAM on its own. It won't run well on less than 1GB.

You only have 1GB of system RAM? If so, then that is going to be a problem. GTA 4 itself needs 1GB of RAM when the game is first loaded. Not to mention what the operating system needs and all the other programs and services will need when Windows is loaded.

You will need at least 4GB of RAM for GTA IV. I played it on 2GB after one of my sticks died and it did not run as well as it used to. I tried it with 8GB after buying more and it did have a small boost, but hardly noticeable.

you will be playing a slide show. with that card even on minimum settings. when you step outside and turn the fps will crumple... even with the latest patches that fix most of the bad optimization
