KT7-R not seeing cpu speed

I've been running my kt7-r for a long time with a TB 700@900mhz. I recently got a 1ghz (266 fsb) chip and when I put it in the board it always shows up as a 750mhz chip. I have reset the bios several times and have tried auto and manually setting the clock speed, but when I reboot it still shows 750mhz. I didn't change any other settings... I simply swapped the chips and adjusted the frequency to 1ghz and set the voltage to cpu default. Any ideas?

Thanks!

If your mobo is KT133 chipset then you're not be able to run it at 133*7.5 because your mobo doesn't support 133MHz FSB (or 266MHz DDR), but you have to unlock CPU's multiplier in order to run at its speed (100MHz X 10 = 1000MHz).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
