DAT to AVI question Tags: Multimedia AVI Hard Drives Apps Last response: June 18, 2005 1:45 PM in Applications Share menards June 18, 2005 9:40:33 AM Hi, I copied the contents of a VCD to my hard drive (what I have are these .dat files, which can be played by windows media player once they are set to be played by windows mediaplayer) sorry if this sounds stupid, but if I change the file extension of the file from .dat to .avi, is it now essentially an avi? If not, is there software that converts dat files to avi? thnx ------------------------------------------------- Athlon64 Newcastle, 2800+, 640KB Cache, 1800 MHz MSI K8M Neo-V, VIA K8M800 + 8237 chipset Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9600 256MB More about : dat avi question Ned_Flanders June 18, 2005 1:45:07 PM I think VCD's are MPEG's. ______________ NED AND MOZZARTUSM - REAL (P)RESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES Can't find your answer ?
