We have replaced some old PC's in our network with new Pentium IV's (512MB
RAM) with Windows XP installed on it. Since the new installation, the
response time for some applications like Word and Excel and for the Database
has slowed down considerably on two of these systems. Sometime it takes about
3 to 5 minutes to open an application. The other PC's are working for with
same configuration and setup. Can someone identify the problem and suggest a
solution.
