So after having to wait a month, my epox 8kha+ finally arrived yesterday. I just moved a few months ago and didn't have a computer and finally I was able to put that large pile of components together. It was also my day off - so extra bonus! I put it all together, flip the switch and - NOTHING. So I'm thinking the mobo is dead or the power supply - both of which are brand new. I take everything out of the mobo except the cpu and try again - still nothing. I must have forgotten to turn the power supply off because I took the atx power connector cord out and some LEDs on the mobo lit up. I found out that if I stick the power cord in partway it will power up parts of the computer, but if I put it in all the way it does nothing. I can get the LEDs, fans, DVD drive, and sometimes the HD to power on - usually first just the LEDS and DVD then a little more wiggle and the fans kick in - its booted twice but both times parts werent connected. Oh, when it DOES boot, then I can push the cord in all the way and it stays on, but if I turn it off and then turn it on again - back to nothing. It is very sensitive right now - I mean just slight pressure can be the difference between keeping things running and turning it all off. I've tried a different power supply but all I can get out of that one is to make the fans twitch. Any ideas? I've been computerless for TOO LONG! dah!

I had two cases (same model) with sensitive power supply cords. You could try swapping power supply cords, or power supplies. Or you might try bending the tabs on the ps slightly for better contact.
