Battlefield 3 Knifing System

How many of you guys feel that the Knife System in BF3 is flawed? (by flawed i mean if you stab someone without activating the animation and it only does 33% damage to them)

The animation represents a stealth kill, otherwise it's sort of like being stabbed in the arm. Sure it hurts, but it won't kill you. This isn't CoD you know.

You can't compare cod and bf lol 2 uniquely different games.

As for being stabbed in the arm, the right place could kill you. Also a stab to the skull from any direction should instantly kill a person :/

Personally, I'm not a big fan of knifing - but that's just cuz I keep getting knifed! Always seems like it's right before I nail that long range sniper shot, lol!

In all seriousness, I love the BF franchise, but I've never had much success in melee situations - seems I'm always on the losing end of them. I tend to just flail about while the other guy pulls out his pistol and shoots me in the face. Otherwise, I don't have any issues with the knifing system in BF3.

My only issue with the BF3 knifing system is that I have 2 hands and only one knife.

Don't knife from the front! Shoot 'em in the face. I don't think it's bugged, but it is worthless. As someone else had mentioned, the animation is only triggered for stealth kill from behind.

So if you use ''F'' to quick knife when your in the front of your enemy, it dont hurt him? Or only 33% ? Im confused lol

They do take damage, but often it isn't enough to kill them so that makes it kind of useless since they'll just shoot you if you try to knife them a 2nd time.
