Can anyone please recommend some good motherboards out there that are decently priced - im looking to run a k7 thunderbird @ 1.3 + any response greatly appreciated - thanks

If you plan on keeping your mobo a long time, I would go with the new asus a7v 266-e with the kt266a chipset for about $175 (pricewatch). If your budget is tight like mine, the shuttle ak31 version 3.1 has just come out and for $85-90, it's fast and overclocker friendly. I've had mine close to 2 weeks, and enjoyed the smoother and faster speed of Links 2001. Sisoft sandra memory scores are about 1/3 higher, and with 4 ddram slots, you have plenty of room for memory. I use the onboard sound to avoid some potential via problems. For more info on this board, I would look for other posts in this forum or anandtech.
