Everythings fine apart from your GPU. You Might want to Upgrade that Soon.

You might be able to play it, but at very Low Settings.

Want resolution do you want to play on? I'd say the highest you'll be able to play on with an Okay framerate is 1280x720.

Yeah, low graphic settings and low resolution will probably give you around 24 FPS on average.

It's difficult to estimate since there's no benchmarks yet.

So, I'm thinking of upgrading to a Radeon HD 6950 2 GB will that be enough? Or should I just buy the GTX 570?

From both video cards, the GTX 570 is better.
But a 570 for just Sjyrim seems like an overkill, unless you plan on playing other demanding titles.
Also, at what's your monitor's native resolution?

Your PSU is also important.

which ever you can get cheaper... is my vote. both are good cards so you cant go wrong on either other than paying to much of coarse.

I'm not sure what my monitor's native resolution is but I know my max is 1980 by1080.

A 6950 or a gtx 570 Are perfectly fine (from what I'm guessing) for Skyrim at 1920x1080

Yeah, native resolution, means max resolution. In this case, yours is 1920X1080.
What about your PSU?

I am not sure it needs that much of a powerful GPU, not Skyrim. I could run much more demanding games on a 5770 at 1080p, with most of the details set to max.

And still, I will get me one of those 6950's soon.
