Which MotherBoard?

I'm tossing up between 3 motherboards to get for my next system. Epox 8kha+, MSI-k7t266pro-2, and on from Gigabyte that i can't remember the name of. I think they all have onboard sound.....but is it hardware on board sound or software? ie. does the onboard sound take away processing power from the processor?

I dont know if it takes away power from the cpu (i highly doubt it though) but I read that it gives problems. Most users with on board sound disable it
