Recently (for an unapparent reason) Windows take 2-4 minutes to load up, when
three days ago it took only 30 seconds.

I thought possibly Spyware, Trojans, etc... had bogged it down so I ran:

McAffee Virus Scan, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, Giant Anti-Spyware AND
installed Zone Alarm

I also went into my registry editor and looked for any bad files.

I run a Alienware Laptop - 3.4 GHZ Pent 4 - 1 GB RAM - Ge Force FX Go5700
vid card - 60 GB (30.6 used) hard drive

I have absolutely no idea why it suddenly loads windows incredibly slowly,
Any Ideas? I would love NOT to reformat/reboot if I can avoid it.

If you have not recently added any hardware or software to your computer,
have not recently made any significant changes to your hardware or software,
and have not attempted to 'optimize' your system, you have a virus or
spyware (or both.)

P.S. There are no files in the registry, bad or otherwise.
