Hi...i'm running on a Dell Latitude, Win XP 10gb 128ram. I've been running
into huge spyware problems but it seems i've since contained them. I've
gotten warnings about low virtural memory so went to defrag. Disk defrag
program opens and shows my C drive but nothing happens when i click analyze
or defragment. I'm also still having my homepage hijacked consistently. Any
solutions for this? Thanks for reading. J

1. 128MB of RAM is really inadequate for Windows XP.

2. It does no good to "contain" spyware; you either have it or you don't.

3. Defragmenting does nothing for virtual memory.

Solution: Completely remove the spyware.

Enable the xp firewall, open internet connections,R.click on the
icon,properties,
advanced, then check the box to enable, installing SP2 for xp will/would help
in this matter.128 mb of ram is inadequate,256mb is pushing it,512 is ok.
For virtual memory,R.click my computer,properties,advanced
tab,settings,virtual
memory,change button,then select,"let windows manage" from user mode,click
set 2X,then close out.For defrag,go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:Defrag C:
You'll need to run disk-cleanup 1st before defrag,
