I received a digital camera for Christmas, but apparently need to download a USB driver that will work with Windows 98. I keep getting error messages while viewing the Reference Manual on the CD that came with the camera, and there is no detailed info in the camera manual. I want to be sure to download the correct USB driver, and am lost as to where to go. Can anyone help?
There can be several reasons for your problem.
For instance, if you have a VIA chipset and Athlon CPU
you can try <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ced4fa25-952b-4dab-b7a1-f3b0ec1e50d8&displaylang=en" target="_new">this</A>.
Please supply computer/OS info as well as camera make/model.
Win98 has USB built in. If you need a driver for your CHIPSET (assuming you're not using an Intel chipset), it probably came with your motherboard. If you need a driver for your Camera, it should have came with it. You'll know your USB controller is installed when it shows up under Device Manager.
