Hi,

Anyone having trouble with the K7S5A not posting when the ESS 2838 V.92 Modem is installed? I have tried the latest BIOS update from ECS and the system has been stripped to bare bone already. With just the video in it, the system boots fine. All the PCI slots has been tried and I am out of idea! I've also tried 6 different ESS Modem already and still no luck!

Here's the Config of the sys:
Athlon XP 1500+
ECS K7S5A
256 DDR
Abit Siluro 64MB MX400 TV / Out
WD 20GB 5400rpm Hard Drive

Thanks in Advance,

Mark

Have you tried disabling the onboard modem setting in bios?

Video editing?? Ha, I don't even own a camera!

Yes, the onboard Modem has been disabled...Maybe there is a problem with ESS and SIS 735 Chipset?? It seems like the computer is going into an infinite loop because the CD ROM does blink and stops....and blinks again...then stops again...

Thanks

Mark
