Hi everyone,
I just got Battlefield 3 the other day and it is unplayable with the fps I am getting right now.
I have a AMD x2 550 OC'ed to 3.5ghz and a AMD HD 5770.
I am playing on 800x600 resolution and all settings lowest and still getting ~20fps.
I uninstalled my display drivers and reinstalled, but when I start Battlefield 3 its says I have "AMD Radeon driver version 11.5" and that I need atleast 11.7, but cancelling warning will start game anyway. I have tried reinstalling newest catalyst version (11.10?). Or is it just my CPU unable to handle Battlefield 3?

Thanks,

Hey guys,

So, I have BF3 on xbox and got the premium edition for PC. all of my specs are above the min by at least a bit; i've seen youtube videos of my laptop playing the game on low/medium settings fine. Also I play Diablo III on ~medium settings flawlessly. In BF3, however, am having serious problems. Pretty upset, because I just dropped $50 on this beast.

First, the game is running so slow that it is absolutely unplayable. I literally turned the game on lowest settings, with like 640x480 resolution, and it still lags like all hell. I can barely move at all. Both in campaign and multiplayer.

Updated all drivers right when I got the system (~3 months ago)
My ping is fine (~35).
Specs: I have an Ideapad y560
i5 (dual core) 2.67 processor
64 bit windows 7
4gb ram

Here are specs of GPU/driver info:

Graphics Chipset ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730
Device ID 68C0
Graphics Bus Capability PCI Express 2.0
Maximum Bus Setting PCI Express 2.0 x16
BIOS Version 012.020.000.015
Memory Size 2714 MB
Memory Type HyperMemory
Core Clock in MHz 650 MHz
Memory Clock in MHz 800 MHz

Graphics Drivers:

Driver Packaging Version 8.752-100629a-102440C-Lenovo
2D Driver Version 8.01.01.1047
Direct3D Version 8.14.10.0768
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.10057
Catalyst™ Control Center Version 2010.0629.2222.38338

Another, seemingly unrelated issue:
Whenever I try to join a PB server, I get the notorious "no packet flow" error. Can't join games. PB is up to date and working. Ping is fine. gggrrrrrr....

If anyone can help, a huge BF fan would hugely appreciate it. I only wanted to experience 64 player gameplay, even if on all low settings, yet I get this bunk...
