Solution

+1, and yes easily. i'm running a Q9550 and GTX470, so probably similar and getting good results. You might want to get another 4GB of memory, I find that in game i'm using just over 4GB for everything, but generally you'll be fine at 1920x1080/1200 or lower.

LOL

Also to OP, be wary that though you may be able to "run" the game, if you want to be competitive you will have to aim for the perfect 60fps otherwise you could lose your multiplayer edge. I am on a Phenom II X4 and ATI HD 5850 and I can run it on high at 1920x1200, but prefer low at 1680x1050 for the framerate. Would be interested to hear 13thmonkey's experience with this

I'm hitting steady mid40's to mid 50's depending on map and specific location. I think that my biggest issue with BF3 is always aiming just to the left or right, and not actually at people (I think my mouse is not helping me, old wireless intellimouse explorer from 2002, suspect USb polling is not great and seems jerky) i'm not finding not being at a high FPS to be an issue, i'm running on serves with a ping of about 35, and still finding that some people are able to shoot me before i've noticed that they are there, I think my brain and reactions are the limiting factor rather than the FPS. I'll drop resolution a couple of notches and see if it makes a difference. Will post later tonight probably.
