Hello All,
I need to flash the bios on my computer but the A: drive does not work. So, can I flash it from the hard drive...It says your not suppose to. Or can I make a bootable CD?
Thanks

If your model mainboard supports it, you can flash your BIOS from Windows itself. Many people advise against this (including me, unless you know the risks), but with Win2k I have no fears of attempting this.

 Have you ever tried cooking an egg on your HSF? Tasty.

Make a bootable cd and burn the flash utility the new bios and the old bios as well.

I don't have an a: drive and I didn't have a bootable cd so I just used my win98 cd to boot into a dos prompt and I flashed the bios from the hard drive. No problems.
