ive got the latest drivers, and single player works fine.

as well as installing from the disk, i tried copying the game files from both my old desktop and my laptop.

can anyone help? im meant to be playing in cgi...
  6. turn off the realtek audio if its realtek 95 97 and 98 are fine. then install the game again make sure your fully patch the game. dont just throw 1.7 at it.
you need 1.1,1.3,1.4,1.6 and 1.7 minimum but applying all patches is assumed to be safer.

if you dont patch the game properly the game will give the above error.
  7. to make things simpler just plug a mic on your pc and start COD4 multiplayer
