WoW vs EQ1/EQ2 review ownage

I have only seen reviews where EQ1/EQ2 loses against WoW.
Has there been any review at all where EQ1/EQ2 beats WoW?

Yes, i know WoW set a new world record on first day sales, and that it is
probably better than EQ line of games, but its kind of hard to believe SOE
didn't produce something better than EQ2 given the time and experience they had
from EQ1.

Verant (now Sigil Games) wrote EQ, and developed Kunark & Velious. Luclin was
part-developed by Verant, and finished by SOE(*).
Every expansion since then - plus SWG & EQ2 - was done fully by SOE.


(*)And yes, I know Verant was always owned by SOE, but the majrity of the key
people from Verant quit prior to Luclin launch, the later formed Sigil Games.

Pretty average, I'd say. I'll give you a 5.0.

If you want to see a master, check back through rgfdnd and look for
Ron's efforts. Some of them are true classics.

As said, EQ1 was made by different developers than ultimatley took over
design of the game. For alot of people, EQ1 went downhill starting around
PoP (though many like that exp), and got worse from there.

Check out Vanguard if you want a game in development that is closer to
'feel' as the original EQ was.

Didnt pay any attention to the headers...didnt seem that bad a troll (or
much of one at all really).

Apologies Ken, seems he was trolling, but it was so bad, I didnt really
