I see quite a few posts on this mobo and as I am building a system with this mobo would like to know if there is a quick reference/trouble shooter available yet. LoL

Seriously, any "look out for this bit" suggestions welcome.

Hardware probably to be:

1400 Athlon
64MB DDR Radeon
512MB PC133 CAS 2
40GB 60GXP
DVD
CD-RW

It's a fairly good design based on an excellent chipset. The only thing I can say about ECS is that they do have a higher than average rate of defects. But non-defective boards work quite well, so if you do get a defect, exchange it and all you loose is time. As much as I don't care for the manufacturer, there aren't any top quality manufacturers using this great chipset yet. Manufacturers were being squeezed by VIA not to use this competitive product or loose their priority customer status. But with VIA entering the motherboard market, it looks like at last we'll see some SiS 7325 boards from top-notch companies. I would either buy the K7S5A or wait for a competing SiS 735 board.

Crashman, why don't you like ECS? They're the number two supplier of MOBOs in the world, and are used by many of the top OEMs, so they must be doing something right.

Just curious if you know something negative about them.

ECS has a good design, but their quality controll is a little below that which we would expect from better known manufacturers.
