Titan Quest text unreadable

I am trying to get back into Titan Quest/Immortal Throne and the damn text is so small and blurry that I cannot come close to reading it. I am talking about the subtitles as well as all in game text. I am playing max settings/1080p so I don't know what the hell is going on. I may or may not have noticed it the first time I played the game - that was a time ago.

Anyone else have this problem?

Is there a fix?

try lowering the resolution to 720p or less. some games have issues with font scaling

Well, I put it in 720p and problem instantly solved. But it looked kinda crappy.

So after playing around with it, I found that the better the resolution, the blurrier the text. At full HD it's almost unreadable.

I found that 1440x900 gave me the best trade off.

Here is the difference...

It still looks HD enough, and I can finally read the text.
