Nfs carbon

Hello,
i installed nfs carbon in windows 7. when i am going to play the game i got black screen with a cursor in my monitor. pls help me how to resolve the problem.

Is it a legit copy of the game or pirated?

Also, please post your computer specs. In the meanwhile, when you get the black screen try pressing alt-tab and see is something happens.
