I've got my thread up still, its sort of at the bottom, got a similar issue as you expect your card is better, nonetheless, I get horrible FPS lag on simple things such as cut-scenes lol, do you have Windows 7 or XP?

I don't think this is the issue becauseI can run Battlefield 3 at high settings with 40 FPS.

i'm trying to run FSX at 1440X900

Are you using the OEM HSF and what are the temps like? It could be thermal throttling killing the performance.

Have you stress tested your system since overclocking it? If not try running these and see what happens:

GPU: http://www.geeks3d.com/20110407/download-msi-kombustor-2-0-2/
CPU/RAM: http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=205

What processes have your got running in the background and have you run any anti-crapware scans recently?

Also did where did you get your schizophrenic XFX GeForce ATI 5850 1GB from? :)

Ive checked the power connectors, no issues there all in tight, that video is Call of Duty though, BF3 much more demanding.

Thanks for the link I got the card from newegg,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150477

that's the card, no anti-crap running while gaming, made sure it's all closed but yeah I scan every week, ill run the tests and post back if any errors are found.
Thanks for your help everyone!
