I just got a ASUS P4T-E Motherboard and I was wondering what the 2x C-RIMM Continuity Models are for and do these have to be placed in the Ram slots.

yes they do very much. The p4t-e is structured that it has 2 slots in block A, and 2 in block B. unless you have 4 RIMMs in your machine, you need to put your first RIMM in slot A1, the continuity module in A2, and RIMM 2 (because RDRAM works in pairs) in B1 and coninuity module 2 in B2. To my understanding, it wasn't designed to function without those modules installed.
